H.G. Yulios Thirumeni, President of Abhaya Bhavan, inaugurated the newly arranged AC dormitory facilities at Abhaya Bhavan by performing the switch-on ceremony.

The “Star Light Celebration” birthday celebration program for the residents of Abhaya Bhavan was inaugurated by Bhadrassan Vaidika Sangham Secretary, Fr. John Isaac. Fr. V.M. Samuel, Fr. T.C. Jacob, Fr. Antony Paulose, and Fr. Prizon Johnson extended their greetings. Abhaya Bhavan Executive Members Mr. Shajan P.U., Mr. C.T. Shiju, and program sponsor & Coordinator Mr. C.K. Appumon also conveyed their wishes.

Abhaya Bhavan organized its first recreational trip for its inmates, offering them a joyful and refreshing experience beyond routine life. The journey focused on shared moments, emotional bonding, and creating happiness among the participants. The organizers expressed sincere gratitude to all who supported and contributed to the success of the trip.

Under the initiative of the Pookode Primary Health Centre, a medical camp was conducted at Abhaya Bhavan for its inmates under the leadership of Medical Officer Dr. Rajalakshmi. With the support of a nursing team of around 15 members, ASHA workers, and volunteers, medical check-ups and distribution of medicines were carried out.

The renovation of Abhayabhavan medical store, completed with the assistance of Dr. Soumya Ranjie from Mumbai, was officially inaugurated by Smt. Sunitha Aravindan, Chairperson of the Guruvayur Municipal Council.

Many carol teams visited Abhayabhavan, filling the atmosphere with joy and festive spirit.

The Metropolitan of the Malabar Diocese of the Orthodox Sabha, Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Pachomios, visited Abhay Bhavan.

The anniversary of our aging center, Abhayabhavan, was celebrated on October 26 and inaugurated by Guruvayur MLA L. K. Akbar, with an address by H G Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios Metropolitan, in the presence of Sri Shinoj T (ACP).

His Holiness Moran Mor Baselios Marthoma Mathews III visited the Abhaya Bhavan Senior Citizens’ Center, marking a blessed day as the center nears its first anniversary. His Holiness offered prayers, shared words of comfort and strength with the residents, and highlighted the importance of elderly care. The visit brought great joy to the Abhaya Bhavan family. Also present were Abhaya Bhavan President Dr. Geevarghese Mar Yulios and Madras Diocese Metropolitan H.G. Geevarghese Mar Philoxenos.
